New Relationship, Transformative Change Accord, and Métis Nation Relationship Accord
Closing the gaps that separate Aboriginal people from other citizens, building a brighter future for all British Columbians
The Province of British Columbia is building relationships with Aboriginal people and communities. Working with First Nations and Aboriginal community leaders, we are focusing our collective efforts on closing the socio-economic gaps that separate Aboriginal people from other British Columbians, and building a province where everyone can fully participate in a prosperous economy.
These efforts are demonstrated through three government initiatives that are building the foundation for improved relations between government, Aboriginal people and communities throughout our province. Through the New Relationship vision statement, Transformative Change Accord and the Métis Nation Relationship Accord, we are forging a path to dramatically improve the lives of Aboriginal people and build healthier communities that benefit all British Columbians.
